Kathryn Ophelia Hutcherson Campbell was born on October 24, 1894 in Frankford, Missouri. She married Charles Chambers on September 19, 1916 and subsequently divorced him. She married Leon Edwin Campbell on July 9, 1926. Leon Campbell died on February 14, 1964. In 1914, Kathryn Campbell graduated from Synodical College (Presbyterian) in Fulton, Missouri.
